Doing community work, having a great time, learning a new skill, supporting each other.

YWCA clubs are a great way to find friendship and support and many clubs carry out important community work.

Here is a snapshot of some Australian YWCA clubs:

Mature women's clubs, YWCA Victoria

There are a range of mature women's social clubs in Victoria that support the work of YWCA Victoria and provide social interaction for women.

Victorian YWCA clubs in Melbourne include the Monday Autumn Club, the Tuesday Club, the the Resource Committee, Project Group and the Encore Club.

There are also YWCA clubs based in suburban Melbourne at Vermont, Mooroolbark, Boronia and Blackburn.

Regional clubs include the Bendigo Friendship Club and Geelong Friends of the Y.

YWCA clubs, YWCA of Port Pirie

The YWCA of Port Pirie has four clubs who meet regularly and do voluntary work in the community.

YWCA clubs, YWCA of Townsville

The YWCA of Townsville has a Scrabble club, a book club, a card club and the long-running Wirrina Club, which has been operating since 1964.

The Wirrinna Club is the only club at the YWCA of Townsville that requires its members to be YWCA members.

Some women who originally came to the Y only for card and Scrabble afternoons have since become enthusiastic members of the YWCA of Townsville.
