The 2010 federal election has been called
Prime Minister Gillard has called the Federal Election for Saturday 21 August.
If you want to vote on 21 August you need to be on the electoral roll. If you can’t vote, you don’t get your say at the election. And then for four years, you can’t whinge. Enrol to vote
If you turned 18 since the last election, you might not be on the electoral roll. If you moved house you might still be registered at your old address. Are your details on the roll?
The electoral roll closes at 8pm on Monday 19 July.
It is now too late to post an enrolment form back to the AEC but you can still take it to any AEC office between the hours of 8:30am and 8:00pm today. Alternatively you can fax it or email your (signed and scanned) form but the AEC must receive it before the 8pm deadline today.
Australians who are already on the electoral roll but who have moved address, have a little longer - until 8pm on Thursday, July 22 to update their details by completing an enrolment form
