It's Homelessness Week- Join Everybody's Home!

The number of Australian women seeking homelessness help has jumped 21 per cent since 2012-13 and is rising at a much faster pace than men. Domestic and family violence continues to be the top driver of homelessness in Australia, however, factors such as a fierce private rental market which has priced part-time worker single mothers out of the market, the low single-parent benefit, the gender wage gap, lower savings due to time out of workforce caring for children and less superannuation are contributing to women’s increased risk of homelessness.

Join us and many others supporting the Everybody’s Home campaign for a better, fairer housing system for everyone. Every Australian needs a place to call home. Pledge your support here.
