New research confirms millennial men are leading a backlash against women’s rights

In disturbing new research, millennial men — born between 1982 and 2000 — have been found to be leading a backlash against gender equality, write Virginia Haussegger, Pia Rowe, Mark Evans, and Max Halupka from the University of Canberra. Below is an extract from their findings.

When the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation was launched in 2017 we believed Australia had hit a nadir in gender equality policy and purpose. Years of effort to remove entrenched organisational, cultural and social barriers to women’s progress were not landing the results we all expected by now.
