Launch of Equality Rights Alliance

In May 2010, WomenSpeak was relaunched as the Equality Rights Alliance. Equality Rights Alliance is Australia’s largest network advocating for women’s equality, women’s leadership and recognition of women’s diversity. We bring together over 50 organisations with an interest in
advancing women’s equality.

The Alliance is one of six new National Women’s Alliances, funded by the Federal Office for Women.

Equality Rights Alliance is managed by YWCA Australia and will build on the work of WomenSpeak, focusing on equality, diversity and leadership.

Since 2001 WomenSpeak has been a national non government network of women's organisations and women’s advocates supporting and strengthening the voices of many different women and advocating for gender equality.
