Stop the violence
Submission to the National Council to Reduce Violence Against Women and Children (2008)
Despite the considerable progress made in advancing gender equality, the relationship between men and women remains firmly based on power and control.
Our submission examined why domestic violence and sexual assault is happening in Australia and YWCA resources, programs and services that are successful in preventing or reducing the effects of domestic and family violence or sexual assault. The submission also suggested a range of other measures for reducing domestic and family violence and sexual assault against women and children.
