We aim to positively impact the lives of more than two million women, young women and girls by the end of 2023.ABOUT THIS ROLEYWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join our Parenting Support Program Team. This role is offered on a full time basis on a maximum term contract ending on 30 June 2021 and is based in Palmerston NT.A Case Manager for the Parenting Support Program provides strength basedcase management, parenting support and child well-being activities across a range of programs designed to increase independence in young families. You will also link clients into mainstream services such as Centrelink, Department of Housing and health care agencies.ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Qualification in Community Services and/or Youth Work.Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds and with linguistic needs.Experiencing in delivering high quality, strength-based case management.Demonstrated experience working with families to identify issues that require early intervention for reducing risk and developing capacity for increased effectiveness as a family unit.A high-level understanding of the complex issues facing parents and caregivers in caring for and raising children.Hold or ability to apply for a valid Senior First Aid Certificate, National Criminal History Check, NT Driver’s License and Working with Children (Ochre) Card.Strong supporter of Women’s Rights and willing to push the boundaries.Team player who is approachable with strong interpersonal and listening skills together with the ability to empower.Results focused, self-motivated and a self-starter who goes above and beyond.Doesn’t settle, strives for continues improvement and has a high level of integrity.This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment. INTERESTED?
