This role is offered on a full time basis on a maximum term contract ending on 31/12/2020.The Case Manager for the Women of Worth (WoW) Program provides clientfocused case management to women who have involvement in the justice system. They will facilitate opportunities for clients to achieve personal goals, break cycles of offending behavior and attain independence.Settings for delivery will include (but not be limited to) Darwin Correctional Centre, Darwin Magistrates Court, Palmerston DropIn Space, Community Corrections offices and client accommodation.ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds and with linguistic needs.Promote high quality case management, and deliver targeted specialised client services based on individual case management and intervention.Ability to undertake a range of administrative duties, including maintaining detailed case notes, records and files.Experience developing cooperative working relationships with external agencies and providers to optimise client service delivery and referral as necessary.Ability to apply an understanding of the responsibilities associated with working with all clients including confidentiality, duty of care, mandatory reporting, other relevant legislation and professional conduct.Experience providing coaching and mentoring to other staff as required to optimize competent practice.Ability to apply a high level understanding of the complex issues relating to client offending, including the impact on children and ways to support them.Ability to apply a high level understanding of the personal context of domestic violence, mental health, AOD and the interface with the police and justice system to working with clients.This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment.INTERESTED?
