About this RoleThis role focuses on the delivery of targeted engagement initiatives that aim to enhance connections between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-indigenous communities. The role will engage children and community members in making connections that enhance skills, knowledge and experience; promote community connectedness and build supportive and safe child-friendly environments. About YouThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Qualifications or relevant training in Community Development, Early Childhood or EducationDemonstrated experience working with Aboriginal communities and organisationsExperience working with and/or developing programs for children and families, particularly in vulnerable communitiesDemonstrated experience in implementing programs and events and evaluating the program outcomesDemonstrated experience in networking and coordinating service collaborationGood interpersonal skills, particularly negotiation, advocacy, and group facilitationAbility to self organise and complete administrative tasksCurrent NSW Class C vehicle license and willingness to drive a 12-seater busCurrent working with vulnerable persons permit. This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment.
