We aim to positively impact the lives of more than two million women, young women and girls by the end of 2023.ABOUT THIS ROLEYWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Coordinator to join our Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service Team. This role is offered on a full time basis on a maximum term contract ending on 30 June 2020 and is based in our Nowra office.Coordinate the development and delivery of the Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service and Safer Pathways program including proactive, integrated and holistic advice, referral, advocacy and support for women experiencing domestic and family violence, supporting them to navigate the justice system to secure their safety. Work closely with stakeholders and service providers to provide integrated and timely support for women at high risk of harm, ensuring the Safety Action Management process is resourced and working effectively. The role will also include some face to face casework with clients as needed. ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Demonstrated experience working in a front-line domestic violence serviceDemonstrated ability to coordinate the delivery of services in accordance with funder service agreements, and Legal Aid NSW principles, policies, and operational requirementsDemonstrated ability to recruit, lead by example, supervise and develop a teamDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of the dynamics, complexities and legal and social welfare consequences of domestic violenceDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice response to domestic violence including Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders applications and criminal prosecutions and related legal mattersTertiary qualifications in a social sciences or humanities discipline, and/or proven ability in a similar program coordination roleDemonstrated ability to ensure the WDVCAS provides relevant, accessible and responsive services to a diverse range of women and childrenDemonstrated organisational, administrative, financial, informational technology and management skills appropriate for the coordination roleDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationshipsHigh level communication skills including negotiation, advocacy and conflict resolutionCurrent drivers licenceA valid NSW working with children or working with vulnerable people check.This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment View position description here:https://www.ywca.org.au/job-details/query/coordinator-womenand39s-domestic-violence-court-advocacy-service/in/new-south-wales/7736046/ INTERESTED?
