We aim to positively impact the lives of more than two million women, young women and girls by the end of 2023.ABOUT THIS ROLEAn exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Coordinator to develop, implement and manage our Y Connect Program, and potential future programs in the region. This is a first for Toowoomba and an exciting opportunity for someone keen to take ownership of developing and managing the entire Y Connect program, including managing a small team of one direct report.As we expand programs in the region, this role will lead the growth and reputation of our programs under current and future funding models as a specialist service for women, young women and girls.The Coordinator, Y Connect is offered on a part time basis, 15 hours per week, on a maximum term contract ending in February 2023. The role is based in our Toowoomba office.ABOUT Y CONNECTY Connect is a program that provides engagement and empowerment for women living with a disability to connect with YWCA, build skills and confidence relevant to employment or career goals and develop their networks and networking skills.Providing support to the Y Connect Project Officer, the Coordinator role is responsible for managing and evaluating the provision of a quality, progressive project that strives for excellence against the requirements of our funding agreement. This also includes contract management and ongoing quality improvement.ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Relevant tertiary qualifications in the social or community services sector, or demonstrated experience in a similar role in the community services sector in program design, development and coordination.Demonstrated experience in a people management position, including a strong interest in coaching and developing others.Demonstrated skills in planning, implementation and evaluation of community-based projects and/or programs.Demonstrated ability to manage projects and events within a budget and ability to prioritise workloads to meet timelines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated experience in team leadership and staff management.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and without supervision.Understanding of the challenges/barriers facing women with disability in entering mainstream employment and progressing careers.Experience working with or supporting diverse groups, particularly people with disability.Proficiency financial literacy and technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite.A Positive Notice Working with Children Blue Card and a Disability Services Exemption Yellow card.A current Driver’s License. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply for this position.This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment. INTERESTED?
