We aim to positively impact the lives of more than two million women, young women and girls by the end of 2023.ABOUT THIS ROLEYWCA Australia is currently seeking energetic and experienced program facilitators to deliver workshops aimed at preventing violence against women. These workshops include YWCA's award winning Rise Above the Pack Bystander Intervention Workshops for adults in workplace and community settings. These positions are offered on a casual basis and hours will vary depending on the number of program bookings.People from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds are encouraged to apply.ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Relevant qualifications in adult education and/or training and assessment; or equivalent experience working in similar roles in the community services sector.Excellent group facilitation skills including the ability to engage diverse groups of adults in a group setting.A demonstrated ability to navigate complex group dynamics and manage difficult conversations.Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a somewhat isolated environment as well as in a team environment.A demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation that advocates for equality.Strong supporter of Women’s Rights and striving for equality through influencing, advocating and pushing boundaries.Demonstrated collaborative working style, with good interpersonal and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing demands.A valid DHS Working with Children Check.DesiredExperience working within a Not for Profit environment.An understanding of primary prevention of gender-based violence and links to gender inequalityA valid Driver’s License.This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employmentINTERESTED?
