We aim to positively impact the lives of more than two million women, young women and girls by the end of 2023. ABOUT THIS ROLEYWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Housing Information Referral & Engagement Officer to join our National Housing team. This role is offered on a full time basis on a maximum term contract ending on 02/03/2021 and is based in our Melbourne office.The purpose of this role is to provide housing, information, referral andengagement services to the tenants within our properties. The role will ensure that the tenant’s housing needs are translated into a personal program that encourages the resident’s long-term housing sustainability, empowerment, autonomy and connection to community. ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Extensive understanding of the community housing sector and integrated service system in VictoriaExperience in community development and tenant participation working with complex clientsExperience researching and writing submissions for funding and grantsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent computer skills including publishing softwareProven time management and organisation skillsQualifications and/or commensurate experience and knowledge regarding equity, cultural diversityA demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation that advocates for equalityStrong supporter of Women’s Rights and striving for equality through influencing, advocating and pushing boundariesDemonstrated collaborative working style, with good interpersonal and excellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing demandsA valid state-based working with children or working with vulnerable people checkA Victorian Driver’s License.This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with children and working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment. INTERESTED?
