This will ensure we continue to deliver measurable and meaningful impact towards a future where gender equality is a reality.ABOUT THIS ROLEYWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Mentor Support Worker to join our Youth Frontiers team in the Illawarra Region. This is a part time role (30.4 hours per fortnight job share arrangement) on a maximum term contract ending on 01/11/2024.The primary purpose of this role is to support the participation of young women and girl mentees and young women mentors to engage in mentoring relationships and activities in the region. You will assist in the delivery of the Youth Frontiers, Youth Mentoring Program for young women and gender diverse people across the Illawarra region in NSW in line with contractual requirements. This program is a partnership with Whitelion Youth Agency.ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant will have:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Social Sciences, or related area and/or demonstrated relevant youth mentoringStrong communication, and relationship building skills and ability to nurture relationships between mentors and menteesExperience in working with young people at risk including those engaged with both child protection and youth justice systems This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements.  This includes:Completion of a national criminal history checkA valid relevant state-based working with children permit.Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination, which includes Government recommended boosters. Don’t meet every single requirement?
