Re-Imagining the Y Announcement

Over the last 9 months, we have been undertaking a ‘Re-imagining the Y’ process to review our purpose, our role and our strategic priorities.  The reason for doing this is to ensure we maximise our social impact and create a sustainable organisation, so we can continue driving real change towards gender equality.   

Our organisation is built on the support of our members – and for this we are grateful. We see you as more than just a member – we see you as an integral part of our team and in an ever-changing, issues-rich landscape, we are committed to working with you as we shape the future direction of YWCA 

For this reason, we’re excited to share the details of our revised five-year strategy with you and begin the process of listening to your feedback.  We have two options for members which are:

  • Our Vision 
  • Our Purpose 
  • The short/medium/long term outcomes we are seeking to achieve 
  • Our Strategy – this will set our Core Business Activities 
  • Anticipated changes to activities to align with our Core Business 
  • Visibility of where you can be involved in the design stage. 

Re-imagining the Y is an important change. It will set up YWCA for the best possible future for impact and sustainability.
