Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme

The NSW Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) assists women who may be at risk of domestic violence, by finding out if a current or former partner has a history of violent criminal offences.

DVDS prevents domestic violence from occurring by empowering people at risk to make informed decisions about their relationship, prior to investing their heart, children and finances.

The program also provides police with a specialist domestic violence worker on call 24/7 to assist in victim support, crisis accommodation and emergency resources.
