Y-Hand Up

Women who have experienced domestic and family violence, living in unsafe situations, are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness, need support to help rebuild their lives. Y-Hand Up provides practical measures to help these women, with a focus on building safer communities and reducing pressure on high-cost crisis services.

Y-Hand Up connects single women in need with safe housing, support services and practical support to re-establish a sustainable life. The program aims to interrupt the cycle of victims returning to perpetrators due to a lack of support, thereby reducing the long-term reliance on government support.
