Girls Almighty – Western NSW

Girls Almighty is a group mentoring program for girls in years 5 and 6 in the Campbelltown region in Western Sydney.

The program takes a strengths-based approach when creating a safe space for the girls to be themselves, explore who they are as individuals, and to share their ideas and knowledge. Together, program participants work together through games, activities, challenges, written tasks and discussions to focus on a topic of growth and learning.

Where the need is identified, girls may receive additional individualised support. If appropriate, their families are also supported with referrals and other case management to increase their health, wellbeing and stability, to reduce any negative impacts on children.

Program outcomes include:

  • Increasing participant confidence
  • Engagement with learning
  • Self-esteem
  • Community connection
  • Leadership skills
