November 25 marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women — and the beginning of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. From 25 November to 10 December, YWCA Australia joins this powerful movement to spotlight the urgent need to end gender-based violence and its deep connection to housing insecurity for women, gender diverse people, and their families. This year’s global theme is “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls.” Throughout the campaign, we’ll be amplifying the voices of our Digital Activist Community across YWCA’s social media and digital platforms. These advocates will share insights and lived experiences to help create safer online spaces and drive systemic change.
To be a part of YWCA Australia’s campaign for 16 Days of Activism, you can join our Digital Activist Community, follow us on LinkedIn, or contribute financially to support our family and domestic violence programs and services in Darwin.
