YWCA’s Keeping Women Safe in Their Homes program provides security upgrades for homes to ensure women and their children, who have experienced violence, are able to stay safely in the home of their choice.
Funded by the Northern Territory Government.
We complete property assessments, with local provider Power Concepts, where we assess the needs of the property, as well as listen to your voice and what will make you feel safe. This means women and children can continue to have access to their usual support networks, such as workplaces and schools.
We can also provide tailored support to connect and assist you with other services including counselling, legal and other services.
The program provides upgrades like:
Women and non-binary people with or without children in their care currently experiencing or at-risk of family and domestic violence in Darwin, Palmerston and the Litchfield Council region.
Our team are available from 8-4 Monday to Friday to answer your questions or complete an application for the program. You can reach our team by calling (08) 8932 9155 or emailing us at nt-kwsith@ywca.org.au.
Alternatively, you can submit a referral form below, and our team will be in touch within 2 business days. If urgent support is needed, please call the number above and ask for a Domestic and Family Violence Case Manager.
