Putting the 'fun' in fundraiser

Drag For Good has wrapped for another year, and it was a fantastic evening that brought our community together to celebrate Mardi Gras and raise funds for our Sydney Homelessness and FDV Services.

Running for the second time this year at YWCA Australia’s profit-for-purpose Song Hotel and Kitchen, the tone for the evening was set early by the signature wit and sparkle of returning host and performer Dakota Fann’ee.

We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Alex Miller for speaking on behalf of YWCA Australia and highlighting the difference our work makes in the community. Her words added a powerful sense of purpose to the celebration and reminded guests why events like this matter.

A huge thank you also goes to the Song Kitchen team for their hard work throughout the night, and to all the wonderful YWCA staff who came along to support the event. This year’s Drag For Good was officially part of the Mardi Gras events program, strengthening our connection with the community and showcasing the spirit, values and purpose that guide our work. It is quickly becoming a highlight on our calendar, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make it such a memorable evening.
