Song Kitchen is a  profit for purpose restaurant located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD within our 4 Star hotel. Operated by YWCA Australia, all profits from our restaurant directly support programs that assist women, children, and families facing homelessness and disadvantage.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager with strong sommelier knowledge to lead our front-of-house team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in service, values teamwork, and wants to contribute to a greater cause.

You will: 

  • Lead daily FOH operations with professionalism and warmth
  • Manage floor service, reservations, shift planning, and staff supervision
  • Curate and manage the wine list in collaboration with the kitchen team
  • Ensure consistently high customer service standards
  • Support staff training and performance development
  • Champion the mission and values of YWCA Australia
Key to your success:
  • Demonstrated strong experience in a restaurant manager or senior FOH role
  • Sound knowledge of wines and food pairing (formal sommelier training a bonus)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and hands-on during service
  • Passionate about hospitality with a desire to make a social impact

Key Details:

  • Full-time position: 38–40 hours per week
  • Regular hours: 3pm–11pm
  • Set working days: Wednesday to Sunday (Monday and Tuesday off)
  • Based in Sydney CBD close to Museum and Central stations
