We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Team Leader, to lead our Domestic and Family Programs Team.   • Location:  Palmerston - Darwin - Larika Country
  • Contract: Full-Time | Ongoing
  • Award:  SCHADS Award 2010 – Level 6
  • Salary: $55.72 to $58.19 an hour + Super
  • Benefits: Salary packaging up to $18,550 + paid parental leave + career development

About the team

The Gendered Violence and Family Programs Team provided a vital role in supporting cis, non-binary and gender diverse women and their families impacted by domestic and family violence. Joining our Gendered Violence and Family Programs Team means becoming part of a passionate group committed to trauma-informed, client-centred care and meaningful social change.

About this opportunity

As a Team Leader you will lead a committed team delivering domestic and family violence services, providing supervision, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality, client-centred care.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and supervise the DFVC team to deliver safe house, outreach, and safety programs aligned with YWCA frameworks.
  • Ensure high-quality client support through intake, CRAT assessments, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
  • Collaborate with leadership to meet funding and reporting obligations, including data collection and evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strong external partnerships to enhance service delivery.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture through coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, or Social Work (postgraduate highly desirable).
  • Proven leadership experience with a focus on capability building and team development.
  • Strong background in domestic and family violence service delivery and sector knowledge.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and change leadership skills.
  • Passionate advocate for women’s rights, social justice, and driving meaningful change.
