YWCA’s Home Safe Program provides support to women and gender diverse people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic and family violence in the Greater Darwin region.
Everyone deserves to live a life free from violence. Whether you are thinking of leaving, have already left or are unsure of what you want to do, we can help.
Home Safe offers safe and affordable transitional housing pathways, so all women of all ages have the right to safe and secure accommodation.

We offer three secure properties two 2‑bedroom homes and one 3‑bedroom home, designed to support you while you rebuild and plan for the future. Housing is available for up to two years, with tailored case management provided throughout your stay.
How We Support You
We accept referrals for women or gender-diverse people with or without children in their care who have experienced, currently experiencing or at-risk of family and domestic violence.

Once a referral is received, a case manager will contact the client (or referrer) to:
If a client does not meet the eligibility criteria, our team will provide alternative referral pathways to other services that can assist in meeting their housing or wellbeing needs.
