The Strong Sisters mentoring program is currently taking expressions of interest from First Nations women in the areas of Adelaide, Port Augusta, Ceduna or Port Lincoln. If you are aged over 25 and have a few hours a fortnight to give for a minimum of 6 months, you can make a difference to a young person.

Please note: Mentoring matches depend on mentor availability and mentee locations. The program coordinator will be in touch to discuss availability and timing with you.

This application form is designed to assist in pairing mentors with mentees by considering your likes, interests, experiences and background. Please share as much detail as you can.

Travel

Our Program services young women in the Adelaide, Port Augusta, Ceduna or Port Lincoln areas. Mentors are required to pick up the mentee from their house, drive them to the planned outing, and then drop them home. Travel distance is a highly regarded consideration during the pairing process. Mentors would not be paired with a mentee who lives more than 45mins drive away from their home location (unless previously discussed)

Availability

Outings take place largely on weekends. Weeknight outings may take place periodically with special consideration of the activity, mentee age and special circumstances.
