On behalf of the Board of YWCA Australia, I would like to farewell and congratulate Michelle Phillips on an incredible tenure as Group CEO YWCA Australia.
After a fantastic 8 years at the helm, Michelle is leaving the Y on the 3 July and we thank her for her remarkable service and look forward to building on the strong foundation she leaves behind.
Michelle’s leadership has been transformative. Her ability to inspire teams, drive strategic outcomes, and lead with authenticity has shaped the very core of YWCA Australia.
Michelle led a complex national merger integration and delivered a transformational vision and purpose cementing YWCA as Australia’s trusted provider of gender responsive housing and homelessness solutions. Michelle’s commercial acumen has taken us from an unprofitable position to long-term sustainability with significant growth. Importantly, these achievements are supported by our progressive culture led by Michelle, where 93% of team members understand how to live the organisation’s values, 96% feel supported by their team, making our culture benchmarked in the top 25% in Australia.
Michelle’s commitment to culture and strategic growth has left a lasting legacy and we wish her every success for the future.
Robyn Clubb, President of YWCA Australia
