YWCA Australia has today released its first Impact Report, marking an important step forward in how the organisation understands, measures and communicates the difference it makes.
For more than 140 years, YWCA Australia has supported women and gender diverse people through housing, community programs, advocacy and services. Our Impact Framework asks “are we making a difference?” across our services, housing and advocacy activities, towards our long term (10 year) outcomes.
This report provides the first national view of that impact and signals a shift from focusing on activities to understanding real-world outcomes for the people YWCA supports.
We are committed to continuous learning, reflection and improvement, grounded in the voices of people with lived experience. This report reflects our commitment to strengthening our approach to impact measurement and building a clearer evidence base to improve services and inform decision-making.
As we look ahead, with better evidence, stronger systems and a shared commitment to learning, YWCA Australia is well positioned to drive meaningful, lasting change towards a future where women and gender diverse people have safety, security and opportunity.
