Board Positions, YWCA Australia

We are seeking applications for Committee Chairs in the following roles on the YWCA Australia (and its housing subsidiaries) boards:

  1. Finance, Audit & Risk Committee Chair
  2. People, Culture & Governance Committee Chair
  3. Property Assets Committee Chair

These positions would suit professionals with strong experience in leadership positions in their specific field with responsibilities for managing, leading and advising in these areas. We are looking for people who are aligned to the YWCA values and vision, including acting with integrity, strong commercial astuteness and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.

Youth Frontiers Volunteers, various locations

YWCA Australia is currently seeking individuals to join our Youth Frontiers Program as Volunteer Youth Mentors. Mentors come from a variety of experiences and backgrounds but should all have a desire to support young people to reach their potential. This role requires a commitment to volunteering one-two hours each week during school hours, over a six month period. The volunteer placement is for a maximum one year period, with the potential to re-new.

Asista Mentoring Volunteers, Victoria

The ASISTA mentoring program encourages personal development, new experiences and opportunities for young women and their mentors through fortnightly social and recreational activities. All mentor volunteers are provided with strong, ongoing support, training and supervision. Mentors are asked to commit to the program for a minimum of 12 months, with a requirement of two-six hours fortnightly face-to-face contact with your mentee. It is also essential to have a drivers licence and access to a car.
