Young Women's Council Annual Report 2025-26

The Young Women’s Council (the Council) is an advisory body to YWCA Australia – they provide their input and expertise when it comes to YWCA Australia’s advocacy. The purpose of the Council is to have young women and gender diverse people’s experience and ideas inform YWCA’s work.

Throughout the 2025-26 FY, the Council have been involved in a wide range of campaign, consultation and representation work – read all about it in the newly released Young Women’s Council Annual Report 2025-26 which includes highlights, spotlights on some of the members and details of some of the Policy and Systems Change Recommendations of the Council.

Homelessness Week Campaign

The first week of August was Homelessness Week, featuring the theme Homelessness Action Now. The week was an important opportunity for YWCA Australia to raise awareness of the growing housing crisis and advocate for lasting change.

Women Winemakers at Song Kitchen

To bring winter to a close, YWCA Australia's profit-for-purpose Song Kitchen in Sydney hosted its inaugural Women Winemakers event on 19 August, bringing the community together to celebrate good food, wine, and Song Kitchen's commitment to supporting the women helping shape the Australian wine industry.
