Exclusive pre-screening of Brazen Hussies followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers

November 2, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Celebrating the feminists who came before us, as we work towards gender equality.

YWCA is proud to present this exclusive member event – an online pre-screening of BRAZEN HUSSIES, followed by a Q&A with the director Catherine Dwyer and Executive Producer Sue Maslin.

BRAZEN HUSSIES reveals a revolutionary chapter in Australian history, the Women’s Liberation Movement (1965 -1975). Interweaving freshly uncovered archival footage, personal photographs, memorabilia and lively personal accounts from activists, BRAZEN HUSSIES shows us how a daring and diverse group of women joined forces to defy the status quo, demand equality and create profound social change – contributing to one of the greatest social movements of the 20th Century.

This is a fantastic opportunity for intersectional feminists today to learn more about the feminists who came before them, and for budding filmmakers to learn more about the film industry.

Accessibility note – the Q&A will be closed-captioned using an auto-plugin.

This is an exclusive event for YWCA members – sign up here (membership is free!): www.ywca.org.au/join
