This is a full-time role and can be based anywhere in Australia. As this role works closely with volunteers, some meetings occur outside of office hours.The role works closely with young women, women, and gender-diverse people to elevate voices and drive social change. You will lead the development of advocacy campaigns and build online movements to achieve key outcomes in the areas of housing, homelessness, and gender equality.Some key responsibilities include:Leading and collaborating with the YWCA Young Women's CouncilDesigning advocacy campaigns and developing relevant contentMobilising the YWCA digital activist community to secure advocacy winsABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant will have:Tertiary qualifications in Marketing & Communications/Public Relations/Public Policy or relevant work experienceHigh level of digital competency including experience crafting and designing engaging content and managing online communitiesDemonstrated experience developing engaging campaigns, building content, and working alongside and for young peopleInterest in building grassroots online advocacy communities, working with volunteers, and building relationshipsConcise and tailored communication and strong interpersonal skillsThis position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements.
