Cheered on by a fiercely passionate and supportive team, we shout loud and proud and our voices echo around the world in a global feminist movement. ABOUT THIS ROLEYWCA Australia’s  Medical Accommodation Program provides meals and accommodation to guests accessing oncology (or other hospital) treatment from rural and remote areas.We are currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our team at Barbara James House. This role is offered on a casual basis (approximately 22.5 hours per week).The Kitchen Hand is responsible for maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the commercial kitchen and dining area within Barbara James House as well as simple food preparation and food service. ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Demonstrated basic knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene principles.Demonstrated experience working in a commercial kitchen.A good level of physical fitness.A high level of personal cleanliness and personal hygiene.Good oral and written communication skills.Basic computer skills.Effective time management skills.Willingness to undertake training and learn new skills.Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers.Food Safety CertificateA valid state-based working with children or working with vulnerable people check.Current NT Driver’s License.This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment Join our bold, inclusive and innovative team to make a real difference - lead the change.  APPLICATIONS CLOSE: Thursday 8 July 2021 27 AUD The Gardens 0820
