This will ensure we continue to deliver measurable and meaningful impact towards a future where gender equality is a reality. ABOUT THIS ROLEYWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Domestic and Family Violence Centre. This role is offered on a full time basis on a maximum term contract ending on 6 January 2023 and is based in our Darwin office.  Please note that part time applications will also be considered.The Domestic and Family Violence Centre supports families who are experiencing domestic and/or family violence with crisis accommodation, advocacy, case management and security upgrades through the Keeping Women Safe in Their Homes Program. The Support Worker assists the team to deliver safe and secure accommodation, support services to clients and their children, administration tasks and data entry. ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated understanding of domestic and family violence issues.Ability to support the work of the Case Managers through a feminist strength-based approach.Ability to build respectful and trusting relationships with clients in order to assist them to identify their rights, needs, strengths and opportunities. This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements.  This includes:Completion of a national criminal history checkA valid relevant state-based working with children permit.Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination, which includes Government recommended boosters.Join our bold, inclusive and innovative team to make a real difference - lead the change.  APPLICATIONS CLOSE: 23 May 2022Position Description 25 AUD Darwin
