Are you a life member of YWCA Australia?
We’re looking for two life members to join two Nominations Committee members to form the Life Member Selection Group.
The Life Membership Selection Group will assess YWCA Life Member nominations against agreed selection criteria to determine two new Life Members for 2019/2020.
Some things you might need to know:
- If more than 2 Life Members volunteer for the Life Membership Selection Group, a random selection process will apply.
- Life Membership Selection Group members may serve for more than one term although a 12 month period of non-service is required between terms.
- YWCA employees will provide secretarial assistance to the Life Membership Selection Group throughout the selection process.
1 August – 30 August: Applications accepted to be part of the Life Membership Selection Group
Week commencing 2 September: Selection Group finalised and all applicants notified. A copy of the YWCA Australia Life Member Selection Process will be provided at this time.
9 September: Selection Group provided with all eligible Life Member nominations
Week commencing 23 September: Meet (by video or telephone conference) to discuss new Life Member nominations and agree on a specified number of candidates to be recommended to the YWCA Australia Board.
October: YWCA Australia Board will consider the Life Membership Selection Group recommendations
28 November: New YWCA Australia Life Members will be announced to the membership at the 2019 Annual General Meeting
