YWCA World Council 2023 Observer Delegate Expression of Interest

YWCA Australia is part of World YWCA, a global network delivering social and economic change for women and girls all over the world. We’re committed to honouring our connection and contribution to this movement, and to being an instrumental part of a global push for change.

World Council is the global gathering of YWCA’s that takes place every four years. Its purpose is to set the strategic direction for the movement and elect the leadership that will guide us in achieving those goals.

World Council is a great opportunity to experience the YWCA movement in all of its diversity, to connect with our YWCA sisters from around the world, to celebrate women’s leadership and to work towards our collective vision.

For the first time, World Council is being held virtually. It will run from Monday 27 November to Friday 1 December 2023, from 10pm-1am AEDT.

The opportunity to join as an observer delegate is open to members of YWCA Australia and its affiliates (YWCA Canberra and YWCA Hunter).

Please fill out the expression of interest form below, and World YWCA will issue registration links and joining information via email closer to the event time. Expressions of interest are now closed.

YWCA Australia wishes to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we work, live and play and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise First Nations people as the custodians of the lands, seas and skies, with more than 60,000 years of wisdom, connection and relationship in caring for Country.
