  1. General and normal cleaning is included in the hire cost, but additional charges may be payable if your event has created cleaning needs above and beyond normal cleaning.
  2. Rearrange the furniture to suit your event but please return it to the original arrangement afterwards. Ensure nothing is blocking or obscuring emergency exits or signs.
  3. Nothing should be nailed, screwed or stapled to the walls, doors or other surfaces. Please no blue tack on the mud brick walls as it removes the render.

  6. Turn off heating / air-conditioning and lights after use.
  7. Parking is limited and needs to be shared with YWCA staff and other venue users. There is additional on-street parking but this requires a walk up and down a steep driveway. It is the event organiser’s responsibility to communicate this to guests and to implement plans (shared car rides) to minimise vehicles.
  8. YWCA has a non-smoking policy; smokers may smoke outside the building in our designated smoking area in the north-east corner of the car park. Use the bin provided for rubbish. It is the responsibility of the function organiser to ensure all guests attending their event abide by this.

  12. Venue users are required to keep a list of everyone who attends the event and to use this list to check that all visitors have left the premises at the end of the event. In order to comply with YWCA Fire Safety and Evacuation policy, it is the function organiser’s responsibility to ensure all participants have completed the sign in/out sheet so that everyone in the building can be accounted for in the event of an evacuation.
  13. YWCA staff will take all necessary care but accept no responsibility for injury to guests and/or loss of personal items left on the premises prior to, during or following your function.
