YWCA Member Communities

As a member of YWCA Australia, you have the opportunity to join one of our two member communities.

Digital Activist

Embrace the power of digital activism and join us in building advocacy moments that create real change! As a Digital Activist, you’ll be at the forefront of our dynamic digital campaigns, contributing to submissions, sharing your experiences to create impact, engaging with governments, and creating compelling digital content.

Unleash your advocacy potential, unlock leadership opportunities, and align your efforts with our annual advocacy agenda to create real change for women and their families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Our Digital Activists get involved in our advocacy work, by participating in online advocacy and building their networks.

The time commitment for our Digital Activists is between 1-4 hours per month.  During this time you can support our work by getting involved in digital campaigns, activism, and advocacy. We will host all our advocacy campaigns on our Member Portal and opportunities to take part can include:

  • writing submissions,
  • sharing your experiences to be included in our submissions or consultations with governments,
  • sharing digital content.

By joining our Digital Activist community, you will have the opportunity to grow your advocacy skills, access leadership opportunities and align your own advocacy work to our annual advocacy agenda.

You will also be invited to two annual digital events exclusive to our Digital Activist Community, to learn about key developments from YWCA leadership, including the opportunity to meet or hear from the President/Vice President of the YWCA Board of Directors (or their nominee).
