Y Connect Workshop – Getting Involved with YWCA Australia

November 13, 2019 @ 5:30 pm 7:00 pm

How do you use your Y Connections?

Are you interested in learning more about what YWCA Australia offers members? What about what you can offer the YWCA? Perhaps you want to make connections with established, professional women but you’re not sure where to start?

If you want to be more involved with our national movement and feel confident and connected – this is the workshop for you.

Claire Tatyzo, our Advocacy Manager from YWCA Australia’s national team will be leading this conversation where we’ll discuss how you can have an influence on YWCA Australia through being a member, voting at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and making sure your voices as women living with disability are heard!

Even if you’re not able to make it to the AGM this year, there’s many ways in which women of the Y Connect Project can have an impact on the YWCA as a mainstream women’s organisation.

We will also be talking about networking at YWCA Australia events, ways that we can support you to connect with other YWCA women, and how to best leverage connections that you make for your own professional development.

This is a great opportunity to get to know more people from within our organisation and build on your relationships.

Join us on Wednesday, 13 November at YWCA Adelaide, 17 Hutt Street. Starting at 5:30, finishing at 7pm. Refreshments will be provided.

All women living with disability are welcome – regardless of YWCA membership.

We’d love to see you there! Please email belle.owen@ywca.org.au if you’d like to attend.
